Practical ways to help Foal farm

Extra help is always needed so wherever your particular interest lies, we can almost certainly find you a job!

Become a Homevetter

Could you spare a bit of your time to help a cat find a new home? We are desperate for Homevetters to visit prospective new homes in many areas. If you would like to spend time talking about cats then please contact FOAL office.

Become a 'Cat Fusser and Groomer'!

Many of our residents become very depressed at losing their homes and often need coaxing to eat. Sometimes they may not be too appreciative at first but usually TLC wins in the end! All long haired cats need regular grooming and many short haired ones benefit from it - but again they are sometimes not too keen on the idea! Abandoned kittens and young cats often need to be taught how to play and need to experience lots of different people and situations. Come along and we will show you what is needed.

Help in Tea Room

Visitors appreciate a cup of tea and a piece of cake whilst deciding on their new pet or just looking araound. It is also an important source of funds but the tea room can only be open if we have volunteers to 'out the kettle on'!

Help with the Jumble/Pet Shop

What other people throw away can make lots of extra cash to support Foal's work. Someone needs to sort the deliveries out and ensure they are in a suitable condition to be sold - and of course, sell them! The pet shop supplies essential pet products and a variety of gifts for animal loving people.

Arrange Fundraising events

If it is difficult for you to get to Foal, then you could organise fundraising ideas from home. This could mean selling raffle tickets, holding coffee mornings or promoting our fundraising schemes - the latest of these is 'Cool for Cats'.

Collect Goods for use or sale

We always need newspapers and blankets for the animals and good quality bric a brac to sell in our shop. Please bring them along to the farm during normal open hours.
