In memory of..
Zuki
| 2004 has not been a
good year for me, from being made redundant, to having my car smashed to
pieces. But the worse part of 2004 has been the loss of my beautiful baby, Zuki. We came to Foal Farm last September to look for a young kitten, all of them so cute in their own way. But one in particular struck a chord with my boyfriend's heart when she looked up at him and meowed sweetly - she was the one. We brought her home and she settled in with no problems at all. She was funny, climbing up the patio doors when she saw her own reflection, climbing up the xmas tree and even experiencing snow for the first time - she loved it!! We went away on holiday and decided to let her stay in her own surroundings, with my family and close friend "cat sitting". We hade regular reports on my mobile as to how well she was, she was eating everything she was given and even managed to bring in a huge pigeon through the cat flap. On our way back home, my boyfriend received a call and that call just destroyed all of us. My baby has been run over by a car. We think she had seen a bird across the road and decided to try her luck - unfortunately she didn't make it across the road. It has taken all this time to come to terms with our loss - in such a short space of time she became part of the family and we miss her dearly. Her ashes have been scattered in the garden, under her favourite bush where she used to crouch when she was trying to "bird watch". The memories we have of her are happy - so tragic she was taken from us so quickly. xxx |
