In memory of..
Missy
She was an elderly cat with poorly eyes, adopted from Foal by Geoff & Sheila in 1997. Sadly she had to be put to sleep in September 2003 estimated age about 20yrs and her owners were devastated by her loss.
In their words - She had been described as shy but friendly but she proved to be a delightful and loving pet. She liked a quiet relaxed life and slept a lot but when awake she loved (ie demanded!) lots of fuss. We are really sad that she has gone but are glad that we could give her a good home for the last part of her life and she could give us so much pleasure.

Geoff & Sheila admitted the house was empty without her and they had been looking on the website at all the cats desperate for homes. It was suggested that they should foster a 'Special Needs' when they felt they could so in October they took Sofi, a cat that had been brought in in able to walk on her back legs for no apparent reason. Although she made a good recovery she needed constant observation so theirs was the idea home. It didn' take long before she captured their hearts, we had a letter within a few weeks saying ' It looks like Sofi is here to stay!' Visit the archive in Happy Endings for pictures of Sofi in her new home.
The letter ended thus: 'We did think it might be too soon to get another cat after Missy but she has such a different personality we can enjoy her whilst still missing Missy'
If you have lost a much loved pet, please consider offering a home to one of our needy cats - read the poem 'Last Will & Testament' if you need convincing!
