In memory of..

Louie (aka Loppy)

I will never forget the first time I saw Louie, he was asleep in his litter tray of all places! We wanted an older cat and had narrowed it down to 2, one of which was Louie – I remember looking back at him as we left and he was standing there just looking at us as if to say ‘please can I come home with you’ – we couldn’t decide between the 2 so Louie came home with us along with his room mate Dolly. No-one who met Louie will ever forget him – apart from his missing ear, huge eyes and deformed back legs, he was such a character and loved being around people. It wasn’t enough for him to just sit next to you, he had to climb all over you! He loved being picked up and cuddled and would follow you around the house shouting his head off until he was paid some attention. Other than cuddles, Louie’s other big love was food! His favourite treats were sausages and prawns but he would generally eat anything – he even used to steal off our dinner plates when he got the chance and stole a whole steak once! He would always go down the dustbins on the look out for something interesting, despite having a constant supply of cat food! Unfortunately we had to say goodbye to our little man on Thursday 7th July 2005 – His heart was beginning to fail and he had become very weak and we couldn’t bare to see him suffer. We are heartbroken to lose him, but I can safely say he was the most pampered and loved cat ever – he even had a special heated bed to sleep on in winter! We will miss him so much and the house seems empty without him – Louie you will never be forgotten – Sleep tight little man.
