We made a home for Dumper over a year ago, in January 2005 – we know it’s a long time ago, but wanted to let you know on his progress after living with us the past year……
.......He is extremely happy and content, exceptionally playful, but also loves nothing more than a cuddle and plenty of fuss, still will only munch on dry food, and as a treat, loves tuna. It didn’t take long for him to settle in, and we never changed his name as Dumper just suited him, tho it has been shortened to Dumpy or Dumps on many an occasion…..he really is a loveable little thing, and not only is he very happy, he also makes ourselves very happy too.
This is a doubly happy 'Happy Ending' as Harry is FIV+ and could well have been euthanased if he had not been taken in by Foal Farm! We are not sure about Tigger as they had been living together for several years and are happy to continue that way.

Just thought you'd like to see pictures of a very happy Tigger and Harry. As you can see, they have both settled in fine.

Oscar was adopted in October 2005 and is obviously very much at home! It is very important to ensure that your cat does not put on too much weight as it does predispose them to chronic conditions like diabetes which is becoming increasingly common in felines! If you use dry food please do not exceed the stated amount.

Oscar is a lovely friendly cat he is very vocal and will have a good chat with you. He much prefers a good chat and a bit of ham rather than affection, he prefers a stroke in his favourite basket and has not yet ventured onto a big lap for a cuddle. Since leaving foal farm he has put on a little weight because you cannot open the fridge door without him being all over you!
Since visiting his vet before Christmas for his booster jabs he has had to go onto a ham cutback as he is still described as 'fat but lovely'. Oscar seemed to really like his vet but was relieved to get back home again to his basket where he spends all day in-between sitting in the garden for 10 minutes coming in and having a bite to eat then back up to his basket. Oscar was brought a catnip cushion as a welcome to your new home present, he has become very attached to this cushion and it must remain in his basket at all times, if you move it he gets very cross and searches for his cushion and then returns it to his basket, afterwhich he will cuddle up to it and dribble all over it, as when Oscar gets excited or too relaxed his has a serious dribble problem. We have all become very good friends and shall be very happy together. Thank you so much for bringing us together.

We were getting quite concerned about Sheila as she had been with us for some time because of her unpredictability - a common problem with 'prima donna' torties! It seems we had no need to worry!!
We thought you might like to see how Sheila ( now Calico!) has settled in. She spent the first night under the settee but in the morning we persuaded her to come out and she has now taken over in the house as her own, with Monty (dog) firmly put in his place. She is extremely friendly with no sign of any sort of aggression and we are very pleased to have her. Many thanks
Just thought I would drop you a line about Fred who we homed at Christmas. He has settled into his new home very well and was ruling the roost within a couple of days. He is a very friendly and inquisitive chap and nothing seems to scare him - very bold. He is very greedy and loves his food, coupled with the fact that he is a bit of a mad cat, we gave him the name Floyd after Keith Floyd the Chef. He is a lovely addition to the home, always ready to jump on your lap and have a cuddle.
