When Tinkie was brought in on the death of her owner we immediately noticed that her eyes were clouded by cataracts. She saw our eye specialist but there was nothing that could be done - she was almost totally blind! Because of this it was felt that she should be rehomed as an indoor cat, she is getting on a bit and would be quite happy to sleep in a cosy spot. As you can see she looks as if she approves of her retirement home!
Her owner was gutted when he lost his old persian cat after many years together. He took a pair from Foal but sadly suffered heartbreak again when one of them suddenly died. The remaining boy was very depressed so, bravely, Ian decided to try again and took a young female, Cully now known as Misty, who had just raisied a family of kittens. We had a call a short time after to say that he and Bepe were delighted with the new arrival and he had no regrets about offering another needy cat a new home!
Sue writes to tell us that Splodge has been renamed Minx and goes on to say She really is a lovely pet, very affectionate and very settled in her new home. It certainly looks that way in the photographs!!
The Gent was a very special cat when he was at the farm, everyoine loved him in spite of his timidity which sometimes expressed itself in aggressive hissing. We gave him a room mate, Socks, in the hope that it would make him feel better and were delighted when the two of them were adopted together. Julia writes:

I am delighted to say both have settled down very well and bring much chaos to our house! They are both very different in character but loved enormously.
Corrado has been renamed Rio and he is taking quite well to it. He settled in straight away and didn't meow at all on the way home! Everyone who sees him has fallen in love with him. Rio is very playful and hungry but he is well behaved and knows when bedtime is! In this picture he is waiting at the kitchen door to be fed.
We adopted two brothers from you about 18mths ago, called Patrick and Leo. They are lovable, and adore attention. They have settled into the house very easily. They have even made a few friends around our neighbourhood. We love them VERY much! From Hannah( 10 ) Emily( 7 )
You may recall the pathetic pictures of Seb who had to have his ear flaps removed due to basal cell carcinoma - a relatively common condition in white eared cats! We were all touched at the way Belle used to wash his face for him whilst he was wearing his collar! Now, as you can see, he can wash his own bits!! We are eternally grateful to Karen & Rich for offering them a home and are pleased that all seems to be going well integrating with their existing cats.

Just a quick note to let you know that Seb and Belle are settling in well. They have met Bonnie and Clyde, and whilst there was some hissing (mostly from little Bon!) they haven't come to blows. I'm feeling positive that they'll learn to get along. As I'm sure you know, they are truly lovely pusscats. Seb is so confident and loving. Belle hides, but when she comes out she loves a fuss. She's 'bonding' particularly well with Rich (girl cats are such tarts!). Seb's ears are looking much better, I think that when you next see him you will be pleased with his progress. Speaking of which, Rich has arranged to have a day off for a father-son outing to the FOAL vet with Seb, for his check up!
