Gingerbread
& Chelsea came to live with me in January. They settled in so quickly
it feels like they've always been here. Gingerbread is still shy with people he
doesn't know but he's certainly let the neighbourhood cats know there's a new
boss in town. Chelsea loves to sing and rolls over to have her tummy tickled by
everyone she meets. I'm so glad I came to visit Foal Farm. Thank you and keep
up all the good work you do. I feel it is a good thing if cats are nervous of strangers - sadly there are some 'not very nice' people out there! Thank you for the compliments! |

My name is Smokey and I thought I would write and send pictures. I was very nervous at first, but they are not that bad and I have a lovely home with a cosy bed in my own room - although mum & dad's bed is much nicer to stretch out on whilst they are out working! I had quite a bit of fur loss before I found my new owners, but this is slowly growing back. I am glad because my belly is so pink without fur and wobbles even more! I do love having it tickled though and dribble with pleasure. My new challenge in life is venturing outside and I am gradually building my confidence, although struggling a bit with the cat flap. |

We'd like to thank
you for letting us have these two gorgeous boys, Badger & Benny,
back in May 2004. They settled in brilliantly. Benny was a little shy at first
but now is the boldest cat in the house! Although they weren't in the same pen
with you, these two have become the best of friends. They both have very
lovely, unique personalities. They are both so affectionate and all ways
following us around the house to be close to us. Despite the photos they are
very playful and lively! And yes, they've stolen the best seats in the
house. If you are looking for 2 cats it is always easier to take two that have lived together but these pictures go to show that 'strangers are just friends you do not know'! Always take the pair at the same time though so that your home is neutral territory when they move in. |
![]() Bagpuss wrote a long letter after he had been in his new home for a month. He has trained his 'Mom' very well except she will not get up to get his breakfast at his preferred time of 4.00am but insists he waits until 6.00.If that is all he has to complain about he has certainly landed on his paws! He really enjpys being out in the garden and has made friends with a neighbouring feline. |
Bagpuss writes - The great day arrived and Mom took me into the garden. It is such fun out there, I checked everything out and discovered the enormous hydrangea bush where I can hide underneath and surprise my Mom by rushing out and chasing her feet whilst she waters the garden! Next door live a nice couple but the lady isn't too fond of cats. At least she wasn't, but I pretended I couldn't jump over the fence and by the time she had asked her husband to lift me over fir the 4th time, she began to laugh and we are now good friends and she strokes my back! |

Ronnie, now known as
Frank, has been a resident at Foal twice! The first time he was brought
in for being a hunter - natural behaviour which some people find unacceptable!
We thought he had been successfully rehomed for life but his new owners had a
long awaited baby - and he insisted on 'hunting' tiny toes! 3rd time lucky? We
had our doubts when we heard news that he was being very unsociable with the
resident cats and dog! Fortunately, the new owners persevered and now
write: These are his two best friends and they usually spend all day together in the garden (all love the sunshine) and then on the sofa in the evening - no room for humans!! Please be assured that he is very happy and we love him dearly! |
