Aura and Acacia were
adopted from us as kittens and are now known as Mollie (black) and
Emma (torti). Their new owners are delighted with them and
write: They are beautiful kittens with lovely natures and have bought us a lot of pleasure. They are both very well behaved and settled in very quickly. We love them to bits and try not to spoil them. Thank you for these lovely pets. Wherever possible we do try to home kittens in pairs, anyone who has adopted two will see why! |
![]() There is usually some spitting from the resident cat(s) when a newcomer arrrives - they are only defending their territory! In time the pecking order is agreed and harmony reigns! |
Vinny made himself at home straight away, after the odd hissing and spitting, he and our three other cats have become great friends. Especially Smudge, they play for hours on end. He loves exploring outside but Smudge is always there to keep an eye on him or protect him. He normally sleeps on my head or beside me, but we all think that Vinny is a real sweetie, and are really glad we got him. |
![]() We are very protective of FIV+ cats in contrast to many rescue organisations that have a euthanasia policy. When we get letters like this it makes us feel we are winning the battle! |
Finn and Billy are FIV+ which means they have to be kept inside, apart from supervised vists in the garden when its sunny! Finn was a stray before, which has made him very independent. He is definately the man of the house and makes sure we all know this (although Billy likes to pat him on the head from his chair when he's not looking!). Billy is like a little fluffy dog who follows me EVERYWHERE! He has had a very hard life and was rehomed numerous times after being dumped as a kitten and it is suprising how loving he still is after being treated so badly. They are both such great cats to have, especially as being indoor cats we have built a really strong bond with them. I would recommended taking on an FIV+ cat to anyone as ours have caused us no problems at all and we always know that we can ring Foal Farm anytime if we have a concern. As you can see from the pics both are fit and healthy, if not a little chubby! They both have healthy appetites and love fish fillets and the occasional treat of cat milk. I can seriously say that having our two have enriched our lives and would urge anyone living in a flat or similar to seriously consider an FIV+. So many are put down as they are seen as not being rehomable so you can rest happy knowing that you have given them a second chance!" |
