![]() Thanks for the update, you seem to have them well organised! |
Smudge here (alias Bambi) I changed to a slightly more manly name! I have got a pair of wonderful pet humans who do absolutely anything for me. The male of the pets is Paul - he is the general plaything, waking him up at 2am because I am bored and want to play does not seem to bother him. He is not as comfy as the female - Samantha. I can stand on her all night long, chewing her hair and kneading her with my paws and never get tired ( not so sure she agrees with it but has no option!). I am chilled, pampered and loved, thank you for taking me in and finding me this home. |

Just wanted to let you know how Jazz has settled in to the family - it took her all of .... let me see..........5 or 6 hours!! Since falling in love with her at the Farm back in August and bringing her home a few days later, she has ruled the house - she picks the lap she wants to curl up on , has found the hot spots under the radiators and how can such a little one take up such a large proportion of a double bed!! She is such good company and I can't imagine life without her now. And it needed a special cat to fill the space left when my previous companion of 17 years died two years ago. Thank you so much from Jazz and all my family. |
![]() Whiskey was a bit of a problem when with us as he had lived with an elderly gentleman who had died. If you are thinking of getting a dog as well as a cat, always get the cat settled in first and get advice as to how to do the introductions. Whiskey is lucky as his owner is getting a 'Hearing Dog for the Deaf' - these dogs are trained not to react to cats so he won't be chased! I adopted a lovely cat from you called Whiskey. He is BUTCH! I have always had female cats, and this male is some experience! He is a real character and likes to dominate. The first 2 weeks when I kept him in doors, I felt that he was trying to take over, and there were a few power struggles....... |
.........He certainly knows how to use his claws. I was longing for him to go out in the garden, but afraid he wouldn't know where he lived, so I strictly kept to the "time indoors", and tried to fit a collar on him. "Collars are out" he said, and proved it with his claws again. His new name is: The Count, Jim, Thighs, Naboolah, Bubbles, Moriarty, and he is known as "Morrimog". He has a "certain presence" (not your common or garden cat), and the name, which came from The Goon Show (anyone remember that) suits him well. The new cat flap which my son in law fitted for me is his delight. He can watch for the cat next door/birds/any garden movement, and then zoom outside. He likes climbing trees, on the garage roof/fences - anything. He sits on my lap, then swipes me with his tail, and moves off. He prefers fishy flavoured cat food to meaty flavoured, and loves "crunchy" stuff. He likes drinking from my water feature in the garden. Thank you for Morrimog! |

Kittens, Freckle & Frazzle (now called Daisy and Bess) have now been spayed. They bounced back quickly after the op. and are in good form. The picture was taken before the op -- they do NOT want to show the world their stitches! |

Poor
Jaz used to be called Fang, no wonder her new owners changed it!
Jaz is a beautiful cat and has settled well, getting used to the garden and being a playful 'kittencat'. We love her! Her new owners kindly sent a photo to the elderly lady who had to give her up! |
