Hundreds of cats pass through our doors every year but some stay in the memory forever! One such cat is Loppy, a stray who was due to be put to sleep as he was unwanted. After major surgery on his ears, we were delighted to find someone to love him and they even took along his room mate Dolly! They already had an older cat but decided that 3 would be OK - would their existing cat have other ideas?
Read what they have to say!
Our other cat Robyn is gradually starting to get used to her 2 new house mates -There was a little bit of friction as first, but they all gradually seem to be getting to know each other and I'm sure before long we will have a bed full of cats every night!
Dolly and Loppy seem to be settling in very well. Loppy seems very content as long as he has food and lots of cuddles - he's been getting lots of both this week! He is also very cheeky and has been getting plenty of titbits from our dinner plates - and sometimes he doesn't even wait and helps himself! I think Loppy thinks he might have been forgotten about when we go to bed at night as we usually hear him meowing very loudly throughout the night - reminding us that he's still there! I think we underestimated Dolly, as for an old lady she has lots of energy! She wasn't too impressed as being confined to 2 rooms in the house and we've lost count of the number of times she has escaped, regardless of how high we make the barrier to try and keep her in! She also has some very strange habits and chose to sleep in the bath on her first night with us!! She seems much calmer now too - she wasn't too happy for the first couple of days and did a lot of hissing and growling, but over the last couple of days she has been keen to snuggle up on a nice warm lap and get lots of fuss.

We enjoy reading news of our past residents!
It is the third anniversary of bring our two cats, Flash and Fleur from you to live with us. They were thin and timid when we brought them here, but soon settled in. Flash eats because she has to, but Fleur enjoys eating whenever she can, so she's grown a bit - outways! Their previous owner brought them up correctly as they have always been very well behaved, even asking before jumping onto laps - which they do very often (Fleur is on my lap as I type this!). So, many thanks to you for giving us the opportunity of having two smashing extras to our family.

Shana is an indoor cat, we put her in with Noisey to see if they would be friends but he was scared of her - and so were we at times! As her new owner writes: Shana is a little hot-headed, and still lets us know when she wants her own space and time, by giving the odd hiss and growl, although this is becoming much less frequent.
Shana is settling in well with us after nearly the first week in her new home. The first couple of days were a bit of a rough ride for her given the unfamiliar sounds sights and smells etc of her new surroundings, but after the challenging start, she appears to have accepted us well, and is becoming increasingly confident. Shana is eating well, and sleeping very well, and enjoys taking root in the best position in the house, on top of my favourite armchair, as the photo below shows. I'm privileged enough however to be able to share the chair with her!

Izzy's owner died and she was made homeless as a 'mature' lady! She has 'fallen on her paws' as you see!
Suzanne fell in love at first sight and writes:
I have had her now for 3 weeks and she is such a lovely cat and is settling in very nicely. She is still a bit wary of where she is but every day she settles in a bit more. She loves to sleep on the end of my bed amongst other places and her favourite spot is on the window ledge in the lounge and be nosy!! and now that the weather is getting colder she has found a cosy place by the radiator.
