Happy Endings Archive

It is nice to hear about Happy Endings after several years - it really is a case of 'Happy Ever After' in this case! Sam was adopted in January 1999!
Sam was originally a very shy cat, and would disappear at the first sign of anyone else coming to the house. He still is very nervous of strangers, although he does show his face when we have visitors. His relationship with Ellie has been mixed, as she is about 6 years older than him. They sleep together and wash each other, but Sam still likes to play and Ellie isn't usually very keen. Sam loves the garden, and believes that all the neigbouring gardens also belong to him. Catching the local mice and chasing the squirrels help to keep him fit, although I think he gets ideas above his station when he chases the local foxes out of the garden. Fortunately, he hasn't tried to chase the badgers yet. From the small kitten that he was when we frst collected him. he has grown into what the local vet calls a 'monster cat' with an appetite to match.

Pushka was adopted in September 2002 and went to live with 3 other cats. She took quite a while to setle in but after a recent house move, where all the cats started equal when exploring the new territory, she is getting much more adventurous especially as there is a lovely garden with lots of trees to climb! The dogs don't even cause her a problem these days - she treats them with contempt! She is definitely 'Daddy's girl' (well, he did rescue her from the garage roof once!) and she even sleeps on his chair at night.

Regular visitors to the site will have witnessed the total lifespan of these kittens - born to Cindy and currently featured in 'Your Cat' magazine! It is great to see them looking so contented in their new home.
Our kittens have settled in wonderfully and are very much the centre of attention! They are in to everything, full of mischief and generally adorable!!! The black and white one named 'Footie' (a truly great player with a table tennis ball!) remains the real character, the tortie (named 'Fudge') is more talkative everyone thinks she is the prettiest kitten they've ever seen! They are together virtually every minute of the day - a real double act. What more could we ask?!!!! Many thanks again!
