Diary of our new home by Jemima & Chachi:
Month 1: Zzzzzzz
Month 2: Awake now. We have investigated our new house - for it is our house, the humans that live here simply provide food and scratch posts (in the shape of legs). Chachi (originally Sammy) spent most of the first month under the smallest human's bed, leaving me (Jemima) to inspect the house and report back to him several times a day, only to find him asleep. He finally came out from under the bed.and proceeded to the cupboard under the stairs - ah well, more food for me! Have eaten almost all the food in house...good work! Have also shredded sofa, played "catch the invisible mouse" tripping humans over in the process, and worked out how to use the TV remote! Met next door neighbour cat, Tiger, today - very handsome! I gave him a kiss, which he didn't like, but I will not give in, he will be mine! Chachi doesn't seem to like him very much, but I'm sure they'll get used to each other soon.
Month 6: Have discovered that hitting the humans is the only way to get what I want! I've taken to sitting on the tall box thingy by the computer and tapping the humans legs while they are doing something important! Chachi now sleeps ON the smallest humans bed, he's getting rather full of himself! He actually gets in the covers and places his head on the pillow - huh! Males! I prefer my new cat bed, much more ladylike. Month 8: Tired again now, I think I'll follow Chachi's lead and sleep for a few months.. Zzzzzz.
Month 11: Chachi has taken up singing as a hobby in the mornings! The tallest human lets us into the garden and Chachi actually leaves the cosy warm house, and goes out into the bitterly cold garden - and sings! The humans think this is adorable, I just thinks its strange! Aha - I have successfully achieved world domination - well at least house domination! The humans are at my beck and call - I cry, they come running, I purr, they stroke me, feed me, and play with me! They do the same with Chachi, we have taken over house and home in less than a year!
Month 12: A year since we arrived, and I'm never setting one paw outside again, I'm here to stay and so is Chachi! We get everything we could possibly hope for here, food, warmth, cuddles, shoelaces. Christmas was fantastic! We ate more turkey than the humans did! Plus they bought us a scratch post - pointless really, expensive sofas are so much more fun!

Julie mentioned that Tomisina had a little tartar on her teeth so they changed their diet to dental care Iams. Cats are very prone to this problem so make sure your pet has his teeth 'cleaned' if only by food!
Pepsi & Tomisina had visitors the very first night they were in their new home! Far from being scared, they made themselves at home straight away and snuggled up to all the guests going from one lap to the next! We were, and still are, very proud adoptive parents! I can't imagine why anyone would have abandoned them as they are both perfect in every way but at least they couldn't have been badly treated as they are very trusting cats. Thank you so much for giving us such beautiful girls

Well done Kerrie, perfect integration!
Lilly (the smaller cat on the left) is madly in love with Frankie and constantly flirts, cuddles and kisses him (the girl has no shame!). Sammy gets a bit left out by the other two so prefers my company and the best bit is she now sits on my lap!!!!! (I never thought I'd see them play let alone have one turn into a lap cat.)

Sammy & Lilly were two very timid little cats, adopted from Foal over 2 yrs ago by Kerrie. She explains what happened: When I first saw them they physically shook! I went away to think whether I should take them as I already had a cat (Frankie)at home to think about and these two girls weren't going to be easy customers! In the end I decided to give it a try but when I first got them home they were petrified and I was very nervous. The meeting with Frankie went OK (he wasn't very interested and they weren't either) so it seemed they should stay, although they spent a lot of time hiding, hissing and shaking. I persisted in approaching them regularly, touching them briefly and moving away (the idea was to try and teach them being touched by a person doesn't always hurt!). Just wanted to let you know how much progress they have made and that they are safe, happy and healthy.

The record age for a cat is 32yrs so 8yrs is a mere youngster, no wonder she still likes to play! Don't let age affect your choice of pet!
Lucie has settled into her new home very well now. She's been a sweetie right from the first day and we're so happy to have her. She's definitely a part of the family now. Her previous owner had passed away and I think at first she might have been a bit sad, but nice food and lots of playing got her through it. We were told that she was about 8 years old, but you wouldn't know it as she can be quite lively. Many thanks for taking care of her until we found her.

This letter from Stuart & Sue says it all!
When we picked Milly & Bobby up we were told that Bobby (the brother) was the outgoing one and Milly (the sister) was a little more timid and would come around eventually. Well, Milly must really feel at home because, a week on, and she well and truly calls the shots ! We've even started feeling a bit sorry for Bobby, bless him. In the space of a week, our flat has been completely taken over by our two adorable little panthers. They are just the sweetest cats. They've discovered every nook and cranny in the house and are now spending lots of time sitting on the window sills gazing out into the big wide world and wondering when they will get a chance to explore. We can't believe that we only picked them up 9 days ago - our flat carpets don't know what hit them ! Thanks to everyone at FOAL who looked after the pair while they were there, and who introduced us to such lovely animals.
