Billy and Clint (now Bertie and Gus) came to live with us on August 30th. Bertie was immediately interested in his surroundings, but Gus was a stone statue for a day - until he woke up and tried to climb up both chimneys. They quickly settled, and both really enjoy the house and garden. They chase insects, toads, each other and occasionally foxes, and bask in any available sunshine. During the day, their favourite place is the upstairs study - they look down from the window ledge, and always come running when we come home from work and school. They are wonderfully good natured - enjoying lots of games and fuss, and seem happy to be with us. How did we manage without them? |

Amber and Saffron have settled in very nicely in Bromley - so much so, that tops of kitchen cupboards, airing cupboards, wardrobes and under stairs storage are all little places that have been fully investigated, but found lacking in favour of two warm, furry draught excluding baskets. Food isn't a commodity that lasts long around these two, so careful rationing is dolled out to ensure that lard doesn't replace muscle. In actual fact, this probably wouldn't be the case as there are so many games and chasing each other across the garden, fat wouldn't have time to build...! Affection is also part of the day, demanding and getting their full money's worth. Outside, should they decide that today is an outdoors day, is a cat-kennel in which dry biscuit food is placed should elevensies be required. Amber(Tabitha) and Saffron (Mixi) say thanks to FOAL for looking after them and send their licks. |
